Export Videos and Audio in Zenious

Exporting your project in Zenious allows you to create a polished video, an audio file, or download the original source recording, depending on your needs. This process ensures that all your edits, effects, updated voiceovers, and AI enhancements are included in the exported file. You can customize the export format, resolution, and aspect ratio to suit your intended platform or use. Exporting is typically the final step after you have completed all editing and enhancements in your project.


This article explains when to use each option and how to download both the processed video, audio, and the original source file from Zenious.

Export a Processed Video or Audio

Exporting a processed video or audio allows you to download the final, edited version of your video as an MP4 file or MP3, including all applied edits, effects, and audio changes.

To export your processed video or audio
  1. Complete any desired edits to your uploaded video in Zenious.
    Note: Make sure all edits are finalized before exporting, as the exported video or audio will reflect these changes.
  2. Click Export Video.
    Zenious begins processing your video for export.

  3.  Choose your output format.
    The default format is MP4 (video), but you can select MP3 for audio-only export.
    Note: Exporting as MP3 is ideal for standalone narration, further editing, or sharing for reviews and approvals.

  4. Select your video resolution.

    You can choose from 480p, 720p, 1080p, or 2K (if your original video supports 2K).

    Note: Higher resolutions provide better quality but may result in larger file sizes.

  5. (Optional) Click Custom to set a preferred width and height, and adjust the aspect ratio.

    You can keep the original aspect ratio or select formats optimized for HD screens, mobile devices, social media, or presentations.

  6. When ready, click Export.
    Zenious processes your file, and the download begins automatically once processing is complete.

  7. (Optional) To export only the audio, switch to the MP3 Audio tab and click Export Audio.
    Zenious exports the audio file, including all updates, script changes, new voiceovers, and background music.


Download the Original Source Video

After you process a video in Zenious, Zenious automatically edits the transcript to remove filler words, improve clarity, and refine phrasing while preserving the original intent. Downloading the source video ensures you retain the original, unedited recording in case you need to reference, re-edit, or reprocess the video later.

To download the original source video
  1. Click on the video title displayed on the screen.
    An option appears, allowing you to download the source video file. 
  2. Click Download Source Video.
    The original video file is downloaded to your device.
