Inserting pauses in your Zenious narration allows viewers more time to follow on-screen actions, especially for workflows that require extra attention. Instead of editing the narration, you can add, adjust, or remove pauses directly within the transcript. This ensures your audio and visuals remain in sync and your instructions are clear.
To insert and manage pauses in Zenious narration
Double-click the word after which you want to insert a pause in the transcript.
From the context menu, hover over Audio Options.
Click Add Pause.
The box to add duration appears.
A two-second pause is inserted shows up as the default.
You can optionally edit the duration and click Add Pause.
The pause is added and an icon appears next to the word indicating that the pause is added.
(Optional) Adjust the pause duration:
Click the pause icon.
Delete and enter your preferred duration.
Click Update.
The pause duration updates to your specified length.
Click Update to save your changes.
The inserted pause is now active in the narration.
Important: Pauses will not take effect until you click Update.
Play the video to review the pause in action.
The narration pauses for the specified duration before continuing.
(Optional) To remove a pause, click the pause icon, select Remove and then click Update.
The pause is deleted and the narration resumes without interruption.
