Update or Replace a Video Segment in Zenious

Update or Replace a Video Segment in Zenious

Keeping your product videos up to date is essential as your product evolves - whether through new features, workflow changes, or UI tweaks. Traditionally, teams would rerecord entire videos to reflect these updates, but Zenious streamlines this process. With Zenious, you can upload a new clip and seamlessly insert or replace only the changed section, eliminating the need for full rerecording. This procedure guides you through updating a specific segment of your video and restoring previous versions if needed.

  2. Select the transcript linked to the video segment you want to update.

The transcript for the chosen segment is highlighted and a context menu appears.

  3. In the context menu, choose Video and then select Swap.

  9. Three processing options appear: Process with Zenious, Use Video Only, and Insert As Is.

    - Process with Zenious: Zenious transcribes your uploaded video, rewrites narration, adds AI voice, auto-syncs, and replaces the segment.

You do not need to sync manually; Zenious handles everything.

    - Use Video Only: Zenious removes the audio from your uploaded video, retains the existing transcript audio, and automatically syncs the new visuals.

This option is useful when UI screens have changed but workflow and narration remain the same.

    - Insert As Is: Adds your video exactly as it is, with no changes.

  10. Select the desired option and and click Replace Segment.

Zenious processes the swap, which may take a few minutes depending on video length and chosen option.
