Quick Start: From Recording to Export

Zenious is an AI-powered platform that transforms simple screen recordings into professional-quality videos. This procedure guides you through the initial steps of using Zenious, from recording or uploading your video to editing, customizing, and exporting your final video.

To begin using Zenious

  1. Access Zenious and choose how to add your video.
You can either record a new video or upload an existing one.
Note: The record option uses a Chrome plugin or recorder, allowing you to capture your screen and add narration.

  2. (Optional) Click Upload to select and add an existing video file.
Your chosen video is uploaded to Zenious.

  3. Wait for Zenious to process your video.

Zenious automatically transcribes your narration, removes silences and filler words, and rewrites the transcript to sound polished while keeping your original message intact. An AI-generated voice is created and synchronized with your on-screen actions.

  4. Open your video in the Zenious editor.
The editor allows you to preview and edit your video.

  5. Press Play to preview your video.

  6. (Optional) Switch to Full Screen mode for a larger view.
The video editor expands to fill your screen.

  7. Hover over any scene and click the Edit icon to modify the transcript.
You can make manual changes or use the AI Rewrite feature for an enhanced version.
Note: All edits can be made through the text-based editor.

  8. Select any part of the transcript to open the effects menu.
You can add effects such as zoom, blur, highlights, text annotations, or images.

  9. (Optional) Use the Audio Video Sync feature if audio and video are out of sync.
This aligns the audio with the video.

  10. (Optional) Use the Say As option to customize pronunciation for any word.
The selected word is pronounced as specified.

  11. (Optional) Select the Trim feature to remove parts of the video but keep the audio.
The trimmed section is removed from the video while the audio remains.

  12. (Optional) Change the voiceover artist by accessing Voice Options.
You can choose from various voices, filtering by accent, gender, or style.

  13. Use the Intro & Outro tab to update the intro or outro for your video.
You can select from existing templates or upload your own.

  14. Use the Effects tab to view current effects or click the New tab to add more effects.
The effects are applied to your video as selected.

  15. Use the Music tab to add free music or turn music off.
Your video will play with the selected music or without music, as chosen.

  16. Use the Captions tab to enable captions for your video.
Captions are added to your video.

  17. After making changes, click Export Video to download your video as an MP4 file.
The video is exported and saved to your device.

  18. (Optional) Click the Translate option to translate your video.
Select from the supported languages to generate a translated version.

  19. (Optional) Click Generate Article to create a document from your video.
The article window opens, allowing you to generate four types of articles: procedure, conceptual, troubleshooting, or a blog post.
